More winter prep

I've made a few alterations to Florence over the past week. She now has a set of winter tyres and some mud guards care of the nice people at Crud. How times change. Me of 15 years ago would never have used mud guards - the loss of face and verbal abuse would have been too great. These days I'm past caring how I look. A nice dry back(side) wins over style points any day.

Sadly fitting the damn things wasn't easy. I've never been any good at putting together flat pack furniture and it seems my lack of skills in this regard applies to putting bits on bikes.

Should it really take 2 hours to assemble a few bits of plastic on a bike? Now it's on I wonder how long it will last? The front guard looks really flimsy. A design flaw perhaps? Is mine faulty? It sure looks like others I've seen. I'll give it a go and see how I get on.

I feel guilty in hoping for rain this weekend although based on the bbc weather man I should be in luck...
