Well it's nice to be back. A rhetorical question but really, who needs the 27 degrees and sunny skies of Western Australia when I can enjoy the 5 degrees and drizzle Berkshire?
Still, in some ways I'm glad to be back in the UK as I've been missing my bike. I've not ridden for 3 weeks and no doubt I'll really feel it in the legs and lungs when I head out later today.
I'm also getting rather excited as the Etape route is announced later this week. I'm not one for trusting rumours although it looks like a shortish route that finishes up on the Tormalet which, as a few people will know, is at 2115m offers the highest road in the central Pyranees.
Should be an interesting week ahead......
